What is End-of-Life Planning?

End-of-life planning has two important parts: legal documents and practical information

Legal Planning

Handled through formal documents, usually prepared by a solicitor. These include:

  • Will
  • Enduring Power of Attorney
  • Advance Health Directive
  • Superannuation nominations
  • Other legal documents relevant for your specific circumstances

These documents give legal authority and outline your wishes.

Practical Guidance

The practical details families need access to in your absence include:

  • funeral details
  • bank accounts and insurance policies
  • service providers and key contacts
  • household details
  • digital accounts and subscriptions
  • guidance for children and pets

This information is rarely written down in one place.

By combining Legal Planning and Practical Guidance, you give loved ones the legal authority and practical information needed to finalise your affairs without confusion.

Handbook of Your Life supports the practical side of planning. Our handbooks enable you to easily document and organise the everyday information only you know.

When something happens, families shouldn’t be left searching for answers.

Watch: Why Handbook of Your Life Was Created

Why It Matters

In difficult moments, organisation matters.

  • Loved ones can focus on each other — not paperwork

  • Detailed information and guidance replace confusion

  • Everything important is organised and accessible

  • Nothing critical is left to chance

The practical side of life doesn’t pause for grief. Most families don’t realise how much information is missing until something unexpected happens.

Watch: Why Handbook of Your Life Was Created

Inside the Handbook

The Handbook of Your Life range is designed to help you organise the information your loved ones will need if you are gone or unable to manage your affairs.

Each handbook contains structured sections that guide you through recording the practical details of your life, step by step.

Custom handbooks designed to help you organise your affairs and guide your loved ones when it matters most.

Your Legacy of Love

Your handbook helps you record the personal and practical knowledge your loved ones will need if you are gone or unable to manage your affairs. From everyday household information to important life details, it allows you to guide and protect the people who matter most.

One Place for Everything

Instead of information being scattered across files, devices and paperwork, your handbook provides a ready-to-use physical place to organise the important details of your life. No downloads, printing or setup required — simply open your handbook and begin. When the time comes, your loved ones know exactly where to turn.

Comprehensive Coverage

Your handbook covers the many parts of life families often struggle to locate when someone becomes incapacitated or passes away. Household information, key contacts, financial details, digital accounts, pets, children, services and much more can all be documented clearly in one system.

Designed for Real Life

Your handbook is designed to be completed gradually at your own pace. Clear prompts guide you through what information to record, helping you capture the knowledge that only you know before it is needed.

Expandable & Customisable

Life changes and your handbook can grow with it. Unlimited free pages are available through the Customer Resources Portal and optional add-on modules allow you to expand your handbook whenever new circumstances arise.

Privacy & Security

Every handbook includes the custom-designed 2DocLock™ Security System product. This simple system helps protect sensitive information while still allowing the right people to access what they need when the time comes.

Choose Your Handbook

All handbook kits come professional printed, bound and ready to use – no setup required.
Choose the kit that fits your stage in life or current circumstances.

Making Things Easier For The People You Love

A Note From the Founder: Why I created End-of-Life Planning Handbooks

I didn’t plan a business; I planned for my kids. The story of a local man who died suddenly – leaving a wife and children – jolted me awake. I realised my family would be left searching if the worst happened. My son would need to care for his sisters and manage a home, with himself and sisters grieving.

I had a Will but had never really taken the time to consider what proper end-of-life planning meant and what it could genuinely do for my family. I didn’t even know where to start, or what even to “Google”.

I turned on my PC and literally sat down and started documenting everything I knew my kids would need – clear, practical and organised, while keeping the sensitive details protected.

It began as our family’s safety net and quickly became my passion project.  I kept thinking, “If this helps us, maybe it can help other families too.” That’s how Handbook of Your Life was born: a simple, comprehensive way to tackle end-of-life planning head-on – collating detailed information and documentation so the people you love aren’t left guessing when life changes suddenly.

Handbook of Your Life is not a Will Kit, nor a checklist or worksheet, is more than an End-of-Life Planner and isn’t your traditional “Life Handbook”.

It’s a complete end-of-life planning system – practical, structured and easy for your loved ones to use when it matters most.

The handbook is so thorough and absolutely invaluable for the peace of mind it provides me as a single mother, knowing I’ve provided my children the best chance at transitioning into a new life and recovery from their grief, in the event I am unable to be there for them as they grow.
